- 1 cup of warm water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 tbs yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 stick of butter
- 3 eggs
- 5 cups flour
- coarse salt to sprinkle on top
- 8 cups water
- 10 tbs baking soda
Directions:
- Take the first 7 ingredients and process them as you would with bread dough.

- Divide dough into 24 pieces and form into rolls
- Bring the water and baking soda to a boil, lower heat and simmer gently
- Add each roll to the water for about 10 seconds per side
- Remove with a slotted spoon and place on a cookie sheet, sprinkle with coarse salt
- Bake at 350 for about 15-20 or until nicely browned
