My 1st finished project of 2011! New curtains for the front and back door from fabric scraps.

- Pick 2 pieces of fabric, scraps are great for this project, cut to desired size
- My rectangles measure 5X7 inches
- Right sides together sew around the perimeter leaving a little opening
- Turn right side out

- With a funnel fill the bag 1/2 full with rice (Don't use instant rice)
- Sew up the opening by hand or machine
- Optional: I like to have the same stitching on both sides, this step is up to you
- Attach a little note with directions

I have recently tried my hand at sewing little tops and pinafores for Emily. I love it and it is easier than I thoughtI really love the pinafore; a frugal way to dress up a plain top. Here 3 great links:

Take a blanket and drape over the car seat.

Picture

Lay your ties over the blanket where you want them to be. If you are not sewing your own ties, try using fabric ribbon or shoe laces etc.

Picture

Mark the spot below the handle where you’ll attach the ties (use a marker or pin)

Find the middle of the ties and sew on to the blanket.

Done!
