I love crafting with salt dough, it's easy to make and frugal!
Salt Dough Recipe: see here the only difference I added purple food coloring while the dough was kneading in the breadmaker

Directions:
Roll out dough 1/4 thick (I roll out my dough onto wax paper)
Cut out crosses with a cookie cutter
Use a toothpick to make a hole toward the top of the shape
Dry the crosses in the oven, dehydrator or air-dry
Add some ribbon and you are done :)

We also crafted some Crowns of Thorns and a Plaque, they are still drying

Oh, I never thought to add food coloring to the dough! I've always added cinnamon to ours to darken the color. Thanks for sharing this lovely idea!

I love these! The ribbons are a lovely touch. Our daughter is nearing 18, so we haven't done salt dough in a long while. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.
