Remedy #1

    2 cups witch hazel

    1 teaspoon vegetable glycerin

    20 drops citronella essential oil

    20 drops lemongrass essential oil

Instructions: Mix in a spray bottle and shake well before use.

Remedy #2

Crush a few lemon balm leaves in your hand and rub them over your skin. You’ll have a wonderful lemony smell that mosquitoes can’t stand.

You will need:

1 pair of  Adult knee-high socks , make sure they have a nice stretch and are not too tight (I try them on my forearm)
This pair came from the Dollar Store
.

Picture
Cut off the heel part and shorten as needed. No Hemming required, the socks curl up at the cut end which gives them a finished look
Picture
Add 1 pair of baby legs. Done!

Picture
Cut felt sheets into 1 inch (roughly) strips

Picture
Tie the strips in the middle, don't pull too tight

Picture
Choose a thicker thread
(I used button thread) and start stringing the ties

Picture
Tie string into a loop at each end and  display!
I had intended this as a swag for the fire place, but that was too tempting for a little 14 mos old :)

A frugal alternative to disposable mop pads.

You will need:
- 1 disposable mop pad as guide
- flannel material (or an absorbent material of your choice)
- Sew-on Velcro

Picture
Fold your flannel twice, so that you have 4 layers

Picture
Use the disposable pad as a cutting guide, add 1/2 inch, cut around pad

Picture
Sew around the outline of the fabric leaving a small opening for turning. If you have a serger, you can serge around the fabric.

Picture
Clip extra fabric, turn and run a stitch around the entire fabric

Picture
Check where to add your Velcro strips, you will only be using the soft Velcro loops side

Picture
Stitch down Velcro

Picture
You are finished!
